There are several lists and websites in the community so you can stay connected. We will also post the events from these lists to our calendar, but we have provided the information here if you would like to contact them about joining.
Eugene/Springfield LGBT List
To get on the long-standing Eugene LGBT email list started by Alan Brown, send a blank email message to lanelgbt-subscribe@yahoogroups.com, then reply to the confirmation message they will send you. Alternatively, if you have or are willing to create a Yahoo ID, you can go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lanelgbt, read the blurb, and press the Join This Group button. You can also read recent messages from the list there.
Queer Eugene
Queer Eugene is an LGBTQ website for the Eugene and Springfield, Oregon area. Providing news, events, what's happening, resources, and business and organization listing for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. We also serve communities in Lane County, Corvallis and Salem.
Community Organizations
PFLAG- Eugene
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. Community Alliance of Lane County
The 1966 mission of CALC was to mobilize opposition to the Vietnam War. Over forty years later, CALC continues to challenge militarism, but has deepened our mission to educate and mobilize for peace, human dignity and social, racial and economic justice.
Eugene/Springfield Pride!
Join us August 13, 2011 from 12-7 at Alton Baker Park in Eugene. Entry is free, but they often as for a small donation to help cover the event expenses.
HIV Alliance
HIV Alliance provides support, prevention and education throughout Lane County, Oregon. We are dedicated to a future free of HIV/AIDS.
White Bird Clinic
White Bird is a collective environment organized to enable people to gain control of their social, emotional and physical well-being through direct service, education and community. White Bird Clinic isa non-profit human service agency that has been serving the people of Lane County for over 40 years. We have developed a broad range of services and respond to over 60,000 service requests annually. Our staff is familiar with most community resources. Community Youth Resources
Looking Glass Station 7
At Looking Glass' Station 7 we are available 24-hours-a-day to provide crisis intervention services for youth who are runaways, homeless or otherwise in crisis and their families. (LGBT-friendly crisis support & housing): 541-689-3111.
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender & Questioning Youth Group
